How do I contact the camp directors?
Beginning June 15, the camp office will be open daily from 8:30 am – 6:00 pm. During the off season, please know directors do not regularly check camp email and response may be delayed.- To email both directors, send to kofccamp@columbusclubevents.com.

Do you offer Extended Day?
Yes. Our Extended Day Program runs from 7:00 – 8:30 am before camp and 3:30 – 6:00 pm after camp. Please see the Registrations/Fees section for more information.
Do you offer lunch and snacks?
For summer 2023 we utilize an outside vendor that dilevers meals to us. Information can be found in this letter.
When/Where do I get camp t-shirts?
Each camper receives one complimentary t-shirt with registration. If you sign up for multiple weeks, they still only recieve one complimentary camp shirt. Camp t-shirts are sold at the camp open house (6/4), on the first day of each camp week and at the camp office during camp hours (9:00 am – 6:00 pm).
How much money should I send with my camper for snack?
Usually $2 will cover snacks, candy or ice cream from the snack bar. Ice cream and other goodies run anywhere between $1.50-$3.00. We reccomend sending a healthy snack with campers as the snack bar is mostly ice cream and candy.
My son/daughter is on the waitlist. Will they get a spot in camp this summer?
There is a good chance they will. However, you'll need to have some patience. Our cancellation policy can be found here and around those deadlines are the times that the most spots open up. However, spots do continue to become available even into the start of the session. You will be contacted if your spot on the waitlist is reached.
What are change or cancellation fees?
Camp cancellations made no later than 11:59 pm on March 31 will not incur any financial penalties except for $35 non-refundable deposit.
Cancellation AFTER March 31st and by April 30th at 11:59 pm.
The cancellation fee is the deposit of $75.00 for each child for each session plus the one-time $35.00 non-refundable processing fee. The refund is the total amount paid for each session, with the exception of the $75.00 deposit for each child for each session and the $35.00 non-refundable processing fee.
Beginning May 1, no refunds will be applied to cancellations.
How are campers divided into groups?
Campers are divided by rising grade level. We are happy to try to accommodate requests for campers and siblings of a similar age group to be in the same group. No requests are guaranteed. Please sumbit group requests HERE. NO GROUP CHANGES WILL BE MADE MONDAY MORNING.
Can campers be in a group with their friends?
Requests for campers to be placed in the same group must be made though THIS FORM. While grouping campers, every effort is made to maintain a balance of gender and new and returning campers. While we will make every effort to honor mutual grouping requests, we cannot guarantee them. NO GROUP CHANGES WILL BE MADE MONDAY MORNING.
How do swim lessons work?
Swim lessons are built into each week's schedule. Certified swim instructors will be working with each group to ensure safety at the pool. American Red Cross lifeguards employed by Columbus Club are also stationed at the pool during pool hours.
Does my camper have to be tested in swimming before we apply?
No. You are not required to have any formal swim lessons and/or testing prior to attending camp. We do not allow for swimmers to wear floating devices to help them build their swim skills. Please note the pool is open to the Knights pool members during the day and we share the pool with their patrons.
When do I need to send in my health forms?- For ALL campers, the CampBrain online Medical Form (available online in the CampBrain portal) must be completed in order for the registration to be considered complete. This allows for camp directors to run critical digital reports.
- All campers must have their most up-to-date Immunization Records on file in the Camp Office.
- The Virginia School Health Form must be completed for all campers. Previous year's forms on file are acceptable if no medical updates have occured.
When do I need to send in my proof of ID documentation?
Proof of identification document must accompany the application of each camper. A digital copy can be uploaded to campbrain and a photocopy can be brought into the open house. Proof of ID includes a birth certificate, passport, or public school document like a report card.
Can my camper bring medication to camp?
Yes. Authorization forms are required for the administration of prescription and over-the-counter medications. Any medications being sent to camp will be kept in the camp front office and must be in their original containers bearing the pharmacy label. Over-the-counter medication must also be in its original container with the original label and directions for use. Section A and Section B must be completed by the child's physician for any long-term medication authorizations (those lasting longer than 10 working days). Still have questions? Do we have to be a pool member to register for camp?
Pool membership is not required to register for camp.
What precautions are being taken this summer in reponse to COVID-19?
We recognize the challenges presented given the COVID pandemic; however, we are committed to providing a safe, fun, interactive opportunity that will follow the guidance of our state and local health officials and regulations, as well as best practices suggested by the CDC.
