The Columbus Club Summer Fun Camp began in 1999 with about 60 campers. Throughout the years the camp has grown exponentially. We serve about 350 families through the whole summer. Campers are rising K - rising 8th grade.
Campers are engaged in a variety of fun art, sport, swim, and music activities each week. Each week has a different over arching theme which activites are based around.
Each session of our camp has room for 150 campers. Each camper is placed in a small group which is led by at least one Lead Counselor and one Junior Counselor. It is the goal of the counselor to get to know each of their campers during the session. Each counselor has the chance to get to know each of their campers and help encourage them to be the best they can be.
The Columbus Club Summer Day Camp prides itself on the relationship that it builds with the campers as well as staff members. It is important for us to create a safe and welcoming environment for our campers and their families.
The Columbus Club Summer Camp staff brings a well-rounded program to our campers each summer. We coach campers and encourage them to be the best young people they can possibly be. Whether it is playing fairly during a group game, feeling confident in creating a masterpiece in arts and crafts, taking turns on the diving board, learning to swim independently, or helping a younger camper learn a new skill, we accomplish it together. We believe in teamwork and in the value of a quality summer program. Along with a caring staff, this combination will create an environment where everyone can thrive.
